For years I worried something was wrong with me because I couldn't feel much of anything. This is the story of unexpectedly feeling like myself again... five minutes at a time.

Woman smiling from a kitchen sink in a cozy kitchen, wearing a "Hello Beautiful" sweater. A playful self-portrait for the blog "I Was Fine 5 Minutes Ago," about rediscovering joy, laughter, and everyday life after a season of exhaustion.
If you've never sat in your kitchen sink eating popcorn... I highly recommend lowering your standards.
Woman sitting on a kitchen counter above the sink, looking down thoughtfully in a cozy apartment kitchen while wearing an oversized "Hello Beautiful" sweater.
Turns out, the kitchen sink became an oddly good place to think.

I honestly don't know what I was trying to accomplish here either.

And then...

Crisis temporarily postponed.

Come sit with me awhile

Every now and then, I send updates about new writing, songs, reflections, and things I’m learning along the way.

Nothing polished.

Just real things from a real person.

Thanks for wandering through.🌿
